The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has called for increased use of biofuels to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to meet the state's Next Generation Energy Act (NGEA).

Last Friday, members of the Congressional Biofuels Caucus – which includes Minnesota Reps. Collin Peterson, Angie Craig and Jim Hagedorn – sent a letter to the EPA urging Administrator Andrew Wheeler to address the damage caused by the agency’s issuance of small refinery exemptions (SREs).

Sales of E15 in Minnesota totaled 6.29 million gallons in June, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce. 

Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association vendor member, Pinnacle Engineering, Inc., recently celebrated its 28th anniversary.

The volume of E15 sold in Minnesota in the first five months of 2019 totaled 29.62 million gallons, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
