We need your help, Mr. President.

Continuing our series on the ethanol industry’s economic footprint in each of Minnesota’s congressional districts, we head over to seventh congressional district which encompasses almost the entire western edge of the state from the Northwest Angle in Lake of the Woods County to counties in southern Minnesota like Pipestone and Murray.

A bipartisan group of 13 senators, including Minnesota's Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Sen. Tina Smith, have asked EPA administrator, Scott Pruitt, to stop issuing RFS requirement waivers to oil refineries in light of reports some of the recipients have been major oil conglomerates. 

On April 18, Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association's executive director, Tim Rudnicki, delivered prepared remarks to the Minnesota House of Representatives tax committee on the benefits of the proposed combined heat and power (CHP) / expander generator (EG) tax credit. 

Today we conclude our series on the ethanol industry’s economic footprint with Minnesota’s eighth congressional district, which encompasses the entire Northeast part of the state and includes cities such as Duluth, Cloquet, Brainerd, Bemidji, Hinckley, Isanti, Moose Lake, Grand Rapids and Hibbing.
