Minnesota's Ethanol Consumption Grew In 2015

Minnesotan drivers consumed 6.17 million more gallons of ethanol in 2015 than they did in 2014, data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) shows. 

E15 sales in Minnesota hit a new record in November last year, surpassing the 700,000 gallon mark for the very first time.

A study recently released by the USDA concludes that greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from corn ethanol will be 50 percent lower than gasoline in 2022.

The ethanol industry produced a record 15.25 billion gallons and contributed $42 billion to the United States economy in 2016, the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) announced today.
