6.82 Million Gallons of E15 Sold In July

E15 sales in Minnesota in July was the second highest monthly volume ever recorded in the state, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

Last Friday, members of the Congressional Biofuels Caucus – which includes Minnesota Reps. Collin Peterson, Angie Craig and Jim Hagedorn – sent a letter to the EPA urging Administrator Andrew Wheeler to address the damage caused by the agency’s issuance of small refinery exemptions (SREs).

E15 sales in August in Minnesota totaled 6.95 million gallons, according to a new report by the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a series of proposals today intended to mitigate the fallout from its issuance of RFS small refinery exemptions (SRE) to the oil industry.

Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, and South Dakota Governor, Kristi Noem, have asked the Trump Administration to undertake a series of executive actions to help the agriculture and ethanol industries.

The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Biofuels) joined many other members of the ethanol industry in Ypsilanti, Michigan today to testify at the EPA's public hearing over its proposed supplemental notice for SRE reallocations. The volume of E15 sold in Minnesota this year as of Sept 30 was 57.09 million gallons, nearly as much as the volume sold for the whole of 2018 (59.4 million gallons).
