In March, monthly sales exceeded 6 million gallons for the first time. In May, it breached the 7-million-gallon mark. By October, the cumulative volume for the year (64.38 million gallons) had surpassed the volume sold for the whole of 2018 (59.4 million gallons).
In November, that volume rose to a new record of 71.44 million gallons.
According to data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce, E15 sales in November 2019 was 6.96 million gallons, 27.4 percent higher than the volume recorded in November 2018 (5.46 million gallons).
While slightly lower than the volume in October (7.15 million gallons), sales in November 2019 marked the ninth consecutive month in 2019 where monthly E15 sales were above 6 million gallons.
At 71.44 million gallons, E15 sales last year was also 20 percent higher than the volume sold in 2018.
Meanwhile, E85 sales in November totaled 1.44 million gallons.
On a 11-month cumulative basis, E85 sales in Minnesota last year totaled 14.05 million gallons.
