Record E15 Sales In May

The monthly E15 volume in Minnesota reached a new record in May with 1.19 million gallons sold.

The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MBA) joined many other members of the ethanol industry in Washington D.C. today to testify at the EPA's public hearing over its proposed RVOs for 2018. Below is MBA executive director, Tim Rudnicki's, full testimony.

The growing momentum in E15 sales in Minnesota came to a screeching halt in June as the EPA’s long-outdated RVP (Reid Vapor Pressure) rule took effect.

The EPA has lifted the summertime RVP ban on E15 sales for Minnesota as well as 37 other states and Washington D.C. due to fuel supply disruptions from the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.

E20 For The EU?

A recent study by the European Commission Directorate-General for Climate Action identifies E20 as the optimal ethanol blend for the EU.
