Some regulators, however, continue to use faulty modeling and overstate the amount of carbon emissions attributed to ethanol from purported indirect land use changes. Those faulty models for ethanol should give way to the actual data. In a 36 page report the Center For Agricultural and Rural Development sets forth its analysis of a 10 year data set.
Given the findings, it is time for regulatory agencies, like CARB and the U.S. EPA, to stop relying upon a hunch and go with the science.
