Using data from the Minnesota Department of Revenue, the state's Department of Commerce reported sales of E85 in June totaled 1.21 million gallons, which marked a 17 percent jump from the total volume sold in May.
The average price for E85 in June was reported at $2.91 a gallon, which represented a 63 cent discount to the price of E10.
On a quarterly basis, E85 sales totaled 3.38 million gallons in the second quarter ending June 30, up 11 percent from the same quarter in 2013.
For E15, sales in June clocked in at 14,807 gallons. Sales of E15 in the first half was 72,418 gallons, representing a 70 percent jump from total E15 sales for the whole of 2013.
