The trend continued in June with 12.16 million gallons sold, representing a 6 percent increase from the 11.47 million gallons sold in June of 2023.
The volume for May were not the only figures that were revised by the Department of Commerce.
Unleaded 88 sales for February, March and April were also revised upwards to 10.72 million gallons, 11.45 million gallons and 11.68 million gallons respectively from 10.27 million gallons, 10.98 million gallons and 11.17 million gallons.
The revisions were due to the fact that more stations have submitted their Unleaded 88 sales since the initial reports by the Department of Commerce.
On a cumulative basis, 69.53 million gallons of Unleaded 88 was sold in the first half of 2024, up 18 percent from 58.57 million gallons sold during the same period in 2023.
