At 56.39 million gallons, the volume sold during the first six months of 2023 was 17 percent higher than the volume sold over the same period in 2022 (48.1 million gallons).
The Minnesota Department of Commerce reported that E15 sales in June was 9.73 million gallons, slightly lower than the 9.97 million gallons recorded in May.
However, it should be noted that only 262 stations reported their E15 sales in June compared to 280 in May. In fact, the average volume sold per station in June was 37,174 gallons against 35,633 gallons in May.
The volume sold in June was also the 14th consecutive month E15 sales in Minnesota have exceeded the 8-million-gallon mark.
