In addition, the department revised it's numbers for July upwards to 9.24 million gallons from 9.03 million gallons previously.
The 9.05 million gallons sold in August was the second consecutive month E15 sales in Minnesota had breached the 9-million-gallon mark.
While the volume in August was lower than the volume recorded in July, it should be noted that only 237 stations reported their sales in August compared to 270 in July.
Compared to August of 2021, E15 sales in August this year was 13.8 percent higher.
In total, 66.42 million gallons of E15 was sold in Minnesota from January to August, 19 percent higher than the volume recorded over the same period last year (55.78 million gallons).
