In September, a total of 7.54 million gallons of E15 was sold, 15 percent higher than September 2020 (6.54 million gallons).
At 7.54 million gallons, the volume of E15 sold in the first nine months of 2021 was at 63.16 million gallons, or 85 percent of the total volume sold in 2020 (74.39 million gallons).
E15 sales in September was, however, lower than the volume sold in August (7.93 million gallons). But it should be noted that there were 273 stations reporting their E15 sales in August compared to 253 stations in September.
In fact, the average volume sold in September was 29,839 gallons while it was 29,059 gallons in August.
Meanwhile, September was also the fifth consecutive month where E85 sales in Minnesota was above the 1-million-gallon mark.
With 1.09 million gallons of E85 sold in September, a total of 8.87 million gallons of E85 was sold in the first nine months of 2021 in Minnesota.
