According to the Minnesota Department of Commerce, 7.93 million gallons of E15 was sold in August. The previous record was 7.73 million gallons in June this year (the department updated its figures for June to 7.73 million gallons from its previous reporting of 7.69 million gallons).

The volume sold in August marked the fourth consecutive month E15 sales in Minnesota has exceeded 7 million gallons - another first.

In comparison to last year, E15 sales in August was nearly 17 percent higher than the 6.78 million gallons recorded in August 2020. 

Cumulatively, 55.6 million gallons of E15 was sold in the first eight months of 2021. In 2020, a total of 74.39 million gallons of E15 was sold.
