At 6.79 million gallons, the volume sold in May was the highest recorded in Minnesota in 2021 and was 5 percent higher than the 6.47 million gallons sold in April.
Moreover, it should be noted that only 233 stations reported their E15 sales in May compared to 264 stations in April.
With just 233 stations reporting their E15 sales, the average volume of E15 sold per station in May was 29,149 gallons. In April, the average volume per station was 24,521 gallons.
In comparison with May 2020, the volume sold in May this year was 24 percent higher. However, the volume in May last year severely impacted by the shelter-in-place order issued last year to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
On a cumulative basis, 31.81 million gallons of E15 was sold in Minnesota in the first five months of 2021.
