The sales volume in January 2021 was lower than the 6.87 million gallons recorded in January 2020.

However, according to the Minnesota Department of Commerce, only 281 stations reported their E15 sales in January this year while there were 297 stations that reported their sales in January 2020.

Moreover, according to data from the Metropolitan Council, traffic volumes in the Twin Cities metro area in January was on average 20 percent lower than the traffic volume in the corresponding period in 2020.

In 2020, 74.4 million gallons of E15 was sold, some 5 percent lower than the 78.52 million gallons of E15 sold in 2019.
