The volume in December was slightly higher than the volume registered in November (5.95 million gallons) as the traffic volume in the state grew.
E15 sales in December, however, was 11 percent lower than the volume sold in December 2019 (7.02 million gallons).
This, however, was in line with data from the Metropolitan Council which shows traffic on metro freeways in December was still, on average, 22 percent lower than December 2019.
Despite the challenging environment in 2020, E15 sales last year still came in at 74.4 million gallons, only some 5 percent lower than the 78.52 million gallons recorded in 2019.
