On a year-to-date basis, 55.21 million gallons of E15 have been sold in Minnesota this year, compared to 57.37 million gallons over the same nine-month period in 2019.
The volume in September, however, was slightly lower (3.5 percent) than August (6.78 million gallons).
Nonetheless, the volume sold in September was almost level with the volume recorded in September 2019 (6.56 million).
Furthermore, E15 sales in September was the fourth straight month the volume of E15 sold in Minnesota this year has exceeded 6 million gallons after decreasing dramatically in March and April as a result of the state's stay-at-home order to slowdown the coronavirus pandemic.
