This is the second year we’ve partnered with Farm Camp Minnesota to offer this exciting opportunity.
Farm Camp Minnesota is an annual event that is a collaboration of farmers and agribusinesses to provide a fun and interactive learning experience for children entering grades three to six.
Registration is now open to campers who are interested in learning about today’s agriculture, where their food comes from, how it’s grown and how farm products are used in our daily life.
The Guardian Energy tour will be part of Farm Camp Minnesota’s event in Farmamerica in Waseca on Aug 13.
The event at Farmamerica will be from 9 am to 3 pm where campers will participate in breakout sessions to receive a hands-on experience learning about corn, soybeans, swine, dairy, beef, poultry, pollinators, vegetables, and farm equipment.
Following that, campers will tour Guardian Energy to learn about the several different components of ethanol production such as incoming grain grading, grain handling, grain storage, liquefaction, fermentation, distillation, distiller grain drying, corn oil separation, control room operations, lab room studies, product storage and product shipment.
Online registration for the event is available at www.farmcampminnesota.org. Early bird registration (by June 22) is $15 per camper. Following that, registration will be $25 per camper. Registration closes on July 23.
