In a statement Dec 2, Chrysler Group said its sales in 2014 as at end-November had grown 16 percent to 1.89 million units in comparison to the same period in 2013.
According to data from the Department of Energy, the flex-fuel vehicles in the Chrysler Group's stable include the Chrysler 200, Chrysler 300, Chrysler Town & Country, the Dodge Dart 2.0L, the Dodge Charger 3.6L, the Dodge Caravan, the Dodge Durango 3.6L, the Jeep Cherokee 2.4L, the Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L and the Ram 1500 3.6L.
One of the biggest contributors to its sales numbers in November was the Chrysler 200 which grew 155 percent to 14,317 units. On a 11-month basis, 101,134 units of the Chrysler 200 have been sold. The Chrysler Group also sold 127,331 units of the Chrysler Town & Country, which is also a flex-fuel.
Under the Dodge brand, the Dodge Caravan has been the company's best selling model as at end-November with 122,899 units sold. The Dodge Charger and Dart were the other top performers under the Dodge brand.
For Jeep, the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee SUVs have been the brand's best selling models this year at 166,610 units and 160,793 units respectively. The standard engine for the Grand Cherokee (3.6L V6) is a flex-fuel while the Cherokee also offers a 2.4L flex-fuel variant.
Lastly, the RAM pickups have been the group's best selling model this year with 395,567 units sold. The RAM 1500, in particular, comes standard in the flex-fuel 3.6 V6 engine.
