Originally from Colombia, Liliana grew up in Milwaukee and arrived in Minneapolis to study at the University of Minnesota, where she obtained a BA in International Relations and in French. As an undergraduate, Liliana became interested in the political and socioeconomic roles of agriculture within international development. Since that time, she has spent much of her career learning about and supporting local agriculture within the hospitality industry as a server, catering professional, event manager and coordinator for independent farm-to-table businesses. In addition, Liliana has experience in community building as an apartment leasing consultant and property manager.
Outside of her role at MN Bio-Fuels and local volunteer work, Liliana enjoys exploring the Twin Cities through food, music and art. She lives in south Minneapolis with her dogs, Eden and Mae.
