Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, will introduce a novel family of antibiotic-free fermentation aids and a new scale inhibitor at the 2015 International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo (FEW) to be held June 1-4 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Located in booth 921, Solenis will also highlight several other technologies that can help fuel ethanol producers operate more efficiently and more profitably.

A coalition that's supporting a proposal at the Chicago City Council that would require large gas stations in the city to offer E15 is using Minnesota as an example on the benefits E15 has brought retailers.

E15 sales in Minnesota in the first quarter totaled 510,021 gallons, nearly double the total volume sold in 2014 (257,855 gallons).

Following the EPA's submission of its proposal for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 RFS targets to the White House Office of Management and Budget, Fuels America has released a new television ad urging the EPA to side with the biofuels industry instead of Big Oil.

The legislative session that ended Monday produced several bills including one which contains funding for a pilot program to help retailers  upgrade their equipment to dispense E15.

On June 1, the EPA will finally release its proposed RFS targets for 2014, 2015 and 2016. The big question now is, will the EPA side with the oil industry or will it side with an industry that produces clean renewable energy, supports jobs in rural America and reduces our dependence on foreign oil?

The EPA's long-awaited proposal for the RFS targets for ethanol consumption in 2014, 2015 and 2016 were finally announced today and as expected, it falls short of the original targets that were stipulated in the RFS. Here are a few key takeaways from the announcement.
